Yonge Street's going on vacation! We're closing down headquarters for a week, introducing a couple new feature stories the following week, then returning to our normal editorial schedule on August 14. 

 

 

Last week, we rolled out our new layout in an effort to bring you a more visual display that highlights the various stories we feature in each section on a weekly basis. What do you think of it? Let us know in the comments below. 

 

Did you know Yonge Street is part of Issue Media Group, a publishing company with 21 publications across North America? We're the only Canadian publication, but we wanted to give you a taste of what our sister publications down in the States are up to. 

 

On the right hand side on our homepage, you'll now see a new section below our newsletter sign-up called "across our network." Our editorial team south of the border handpicks these articles to display trending stories from across the continent. 

 

In addition, our new slider gives our gorgeous masthead photos--taken at various locations around the city--a longer life as we feature 4-5 rotating shots with new images added each week. Yonge Street's photography editor Tanja-Tiziana shoots all masthead photos and has done so since we launched in 2010.
